Coronavirus Live Updates in India: On Sunday India has crossed 41 lakh marks of COVID-19 cases with 90,633 new cases in past 24 hours. Of the 41,13,812 cases, 8,62,320 are active infections, while 31,80,866 patients have already been discharged. As many as 1065 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, taking the casualties in the country to 70,626.

By overtaking the Brasil, India is now 2nd largest COVID-19 affected country after the UAS. Only the United States, where more than 60 lakh people have so far been infected, is ahead of India now. This is the first time that India has reported over 90,000 new cases.

Amid the surge in Pune, NCP leader Sharad Pawar has been camping in Pune, meeting district and health officials, corporators and his own party workers, to discuss ways to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the city. While cases have been rising across Maharashtra, which accounts for more than one-fifth of all the coronavirus cases in the country, the situation in Pune is being blamed directly on the NCP. The Pawar family home turf, Baramati, is part of Pune district.
