India’s First COVID-19 Vaccine Trail on AIIMS on A 30 Age Man

New Delhi: The first trail of India’s COVID-19 vaccine was done on Friday, july 24, 2020 at Delhi’s All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

The test was done on 30 years old young man. For this Coronavirus Vaccine Trail, a total of 12 volunteers were called pre-tests that include blood and nasopharyngeal testing. After test results, 10 healthy individuals were selected for the vaccine to be given in phases, according to NDTV’s report.

We all know India’s COVID-19 Vaccine or Covaxin manufactured & developed by Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the National Institute of Virology (NIV), had recently got the approval for human clinical trials from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI).

A total of 100 healthy people will be vaccinated at AIIMS during these Covaxin trial as NDTV’s journal.

In the second phase, 750 people will be involved between the ages of 12 and 65 for Covaxin trail, PTI quote AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria as saying.

He had also added that “Already, around 1,800 volunteers have registered themselves for the trial at AIIMS. In the first phase, we see the safety of the vaccine which is of primary importance and the dose range is also calculated“.
