Maharastra: The State Government of Maharastra has extended the lockdown for an urgent basis to stop COVID 19 spreading till 31st July. The Maharastra government has issued fresh guidelines about what to do and what to not by saying this lockdown as ‘Mission Begin Again‘. Only the non-essentials activities in the state will be prevented by these guidelines.

“It is further directed that the movement of persons for the purposes of non-essential activities like shopping and the outdoor exercises, shall be restricted within the neighbourhood area limits with all necessary prescribed mandatory precautions of wearing masks, social distancing and personal hygiene,” a statement read.

The government has announced that Only those attending offices and emergency services will be allowed as unrestricted movement in the state.

“It is also directed that unrestricted movement will be permitted only for attending place of work and bonafide humanitarian requirement including medical reason,” the government said.

All essential shops, e-commerce business for essential and non-essential items, all industrial units which are presently operational and home delivery of food will be allowed as directed by the state govt.

However, all essential and non-essential shops and market, except malls and market complexes, will be allowed to open only from 9 am to 5 pm.

“All Government offices (excluding Emergency, health and Medical, treasuries, disaster management, police, NIC, food and Civil Supply, FCI, NYK, Municipal Services) to function with 15% strength or 15 persons – whichever is higher,” it said.

Currently, Maharashtra has 1,64,626 positive coronavirus cases and 7,429 deaths, is the worst-hit state in the country. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray yesterday said that despite its progress in tackling COVID-19, the crisis was not over yet and urged the people of the state to follow rules and ensure the lockdown was not re-imposed. #IndiaJitegaCoronaHarega
