New Delhi: JEE, NEET Exams Latest Updates: Kolkata Metro is launching Metro service from Sunday 13th September for the convenience of NEET examinees. This was informed in a press conference today. The service will start from 10 am on this day. Candidates do not have to book any e-pass on this day. They can enter by showing the admit card. Those who do not have a smart card can get a paper ticket at the station. Special trains have been arranged on Sundays only for the convenience of the examinees. The metro will be opened for general passengers on September 14.

Note that the state government has withdrawn the lockdown on September 12. The Chief Minister has taken this decision keeping in mind the interests of the net examinees. The net entrance test will be held on September 13. Prior to that, the state had a lockdown on September 11 and 12. Candidates from different districts of the state will face difficulties as there is a lockdown in the state two days before the net exam. With that in mind, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted on Thursday announcing the withdrawal of the September 12 lockdown.
