The Indian government banned 59 Chinese apps, including UC Browser and CamScanner, on June 29 in the heat of the day after 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a clash between India and China in the Galwan Valley in Ladakh. A few days ago, the Ministry of Information Technology had informed that if it is possible to run such an app in India directly or in any other way, then a case will be filed against that app under the Technology Act and other laws. The Indian government will be forced to take legal action against that app.

Then in July, the government banned 47 Chinese apps again. The decision was taken by the Ministry of Telecom after verifying the security and privacy of these 47 Chinese apps. According to various reports, these 47 apps were working as clones of 59 previously banned apps.
